4/2007: CERONA LAUNCHES SkyDSR™
AT NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BROADCASTERS IN LAS VEGAS

The Flagship DVB-S2 Receiver Is Now Available and Ready for Distribution

FREDERICK, Md., April 16 /PRNewswire/ -- Cerona Networks Corp. is debuting the SkyDSR™ Digital Satellite Router, its initial DVB-S2 product, at the National Association of Broadcasters in Las Vegas this week. This digital satellite router offers speeds of up to 80Mbps, and is one of the most robust satellite routers currently in the market. The product is now ready for purchase and shipping.

"We spent a significant amount of time in engineering and manufacturing a quality DVB-S2 receiver," said Cerona's President and CEO, Mitch Robinson. "SkyDSR is well positioned to move into the marketplace. That work has paid off in the creation of the SkyDSR.

"It is solidly built and is extremely reliable and intuitively easy to install and use," Robinson continued. "In addition to being 30 percent more spectrally efficient than DVB-S satellite routers, the SkyDSR is also backwards compatible with existing DVB-S networks. This allows network administrators a low cost approach to transition their networks to DVB-S2.

"We are very excited to launch the SkyDSR and we are getting rave reviews from select customers who have taken advantage of our early adopter program."

Paul Morrison, managing director of Republic Financial Corporation's Private Equity Group and a member of Cerona's Board of Directors, explained that the DVB-S2 product can provide significant cost savings to satellite networks.

"Cerona has created a product that allows network operators to use their bandwidth much more efficiently and with greater throughput," said Morrison. "In many cases, this translates into immediate and significant reductions in ongoing operating costs for network operators. The combined installation and ongoing operating cost savings of the SkyDSR product are impressive, and we expect this groundbreaking product will set the standard for the industry."

SkyDSR receives and decodes a multiplexed DVB broadcast transport stream comprised of multi-protocol encapsulation IP data and delivers it via a high-speed Ethernet connection. It supports Dynamic Host Protocol as well as IP multicast group subscription services.

The product is designed to serve corporate private networks and the government/military sectors. Applications it is suited for include streaming audio and video, retail kiosks, distance learning, web caching, digital signage, high-speed internet delivery, content distribution, digital cinema, corporate LAN/WAN interconnection, IP multicasting and IPTV.

SkyDSR is now available for purchase and is shipping to customers.
