As a top-level hardware board design engineer, the right candidate will work with our executive & engineering teams in the design, build, and delivery to the market of world-class broadband satellite network systems.  Your experience and expertise are needed for:

• schematic capture,

• high speed FPGA/PLD design,

• board level signal integrity analysis,

• providing detailed technical guidance to PCB layout designers,

• supervising board fabrication and assembly,

• performing board bring-up and generating/executing test plans,

• driving EMI and the environmental testing process,

• working closely with ASIC and DSP design engineers to debug and characterize our products,

• assisting in the definition of future products,

• working with software engineers on HW/SW integration,

• assisting customers to integrate our solutions.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

• 6-8 years of experience in hardware (board and FPGA) design,
• solid, strong Verilog-based FPGA design skills,
• good prior experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGAs,
• some experience in high speed multi-layer board design and simulation with speeds over 150+ MHz,
• some strong signal integrity and EMI characterization skills,
• past, proven experience in bringing designs from specification to manufacturing,
• an in-depth knowledge of high speed I/O buses,
• thorough familiarity with embedded processor designs, including video, wireless, RF, DVB-S, broadband, networking, and storage.
